Battery Discipline and Power Checks
Battery rotation
- Use a numbered battery list; log usage per match.
- Swap batteries under 12.5 V resting; test under load when possible.
- Charge immediately after each use; avoid leaving on slow trickle.
Power checks
- Pre-match: verify main breaker tight, radio power (VH-109) secure, PD/radio wiring per update.
- Circuit checks: confirm breakers/fuses in correct slots; spare breakers in pit.
- Brownout watch: monitor voltage in telemetry; avoid running below 10.5 V during stress tests.
Burn-in logs
- During 30-min runs, log voltage and temps; swap batteries if voltage sags.
Match-day reminders
- Assign battery manager role; mark “ready” vs “charging.”
- Keep spare fuses/breakers and tools in pit.
