Checklist

  • Robot manual updated and printed
  • Autonomous guide includes success rates and selection steps
  • Packing + maintenance checklists signed off
  • Code tagged and deployed (backup stored)
  • Pit drills timed under 2 minutes
  • Risks/dependencies updated

Owners

  • Captain: manuals/checklists
  • Programmers: code tag/deploy
  • Pit Crew Lead: pit drills/packing
  • Drive Coach: auto guide and selection steps

Risks and mitigations

  • Risk: Docs lag. Mitigation: assign sections; set print deadline mid-week.
  • Risk: Pit drill over time. Mitigation: repeat until under 2 min; simplify steps if needed.

Priorities (P0 must, P1 should, P2 stretch)

  • P0: Robot manual + auto guide updated; code tagged/deployed; pit drills under 2 min; packing/maintenance checklists signed.
  • P1: Match-day binder drafted; packing list owners assigned.
  • P2: Extra practice drills if time allows.

Time tracking tips

  • Time each pit drill and record; aim for steady improvement.
  • Set mid-week doc deadlines; track who owns which doc section.

Tips for students

  • Keep docs concise; screenshots/photos help more than long text.
  • Practice pit drills with real tools and packed cart, not empty-handed.

Tips for mentors

  • Review docs quickly with checklists; avoid scope creep.
  • Observe pit drills and give one actionable note per run.
