Vision Setup Checklist (AprilTags)

Camera pose

  • Mount position/angle: ________
  • Robot-to-camera transform measured and entered in code.
  • Ensure lens is clean; secure wiring to avoid jitter.

Pipeline

  • AprilTag pipeline selected; correct tag layout loaded.
  • Exposure/gain tuned for field lighting.
  • Latency target: ______ ms (log actual).

Tests

  • Detect tag at known distance; verify pose yaw/pitch readings.
  • Walk the camera around a field tag; ensure stable pose, low ambiguity.
  • Integration: verify aim assist turns correctly; stale timeout works.

Pit/field reminders

  • Re-check transform if camera is moved.
  • Validate on actual field tags ASAP; adjust exposure if needed.
